NCCA Christmas Opening Hours and 2014 Exhibition Program.
The Balance exhibition marks the end of our successful 2013 program. It has been a year of changes for us at NCCA, with new members of staff joining the team, including myself as the new Program Manager and our new Director Maurice O’Riordan, taking over the helm from Steve Eland.
Mid-year the Centre had a name change; no longer known as 24HR Art we hope to steer NCCA towards the same success, which the Centre under its former guise has achieved over the last 24 years.
NCCA will begin its 2014 Exhibition program in March with the gallery closed as of December the 1st. However NCCA staff will still be working hard in the office, tying up loose ends and preparing for the exciting exhibition program lined up for 2014, starting with an opening at 6pm Friday 21 March with work by Fiona Gavino and Myrto Angelouli (Gallery 2), Coco Meacham (Gallery 1), Hayley West (Screenroom) and Helen Bowes (Boxset).
NCCA will be closed for Christmas and New Year holidays from December 20 2013 to January 20 2014.
All artists in the Balance exhibition can get in touch with us to organise a day to collect their work from December the 3rd onwards.
On behalf of the staff at NCCA and our Board members we would like to thank all the Artists, curators and organisations who have exhibited with us this year, along with our sponsors and supporters who continue to help fly the NCCA flag so that we may continue to bring local, national and international contemporary art to Darwin and the Northern Territory. Finally, a big thank you to Arts NT, the Australia Council for the Arts, and CAOS (Contemporary Arts Organisations Australia) for their continued support and funding.
